Corporate History

Advantage Title was founded by CEO and president, Joe Willen, in 1987 with three employees. Over the years we have grown to over 150 professionals, with a talented in-house legal team who have regional, national, and international title capabilities. In 2007, The Advantage Group of affiliated companies was formed and we opened an additional office in Manhattan. The Advantage Group is comprised of Advantage Title, Advantage Foreclosure, Advantage Legal, Advantage Settlement and the Mortgage Advantage.

Advantage Title co-insured a $241,100,000.00 acquisition and construction loan involving the development of a multi-story office building project located in downtown Washington D.C.

Brooklyn, NY
Advantage Title insured $204,856,740.00 including construction mortgages for the acquisition and improvement of a high profile affordable housing project. Advantage Title discovered and helped repair a major title issue during the closing process, and the owner was able to obtain confirmatory deeds from the City of New York to perfect title. Advantage Title helped the owner realize a substantial improvement to the marketability of the project.
